Hen Planning - Peak District Hen Parties
The Peak District is an upland area of central and northern England lying in between both the North and Yorkshire & Humberside regions, as well as the Midlands. There are loads of outdoor and water activities on offer for hen parties such as walking, cycling, horse riding, canoeing, caving as well as loads of attractions. There are plenty of places to camp and a range of B&Bs, self-catering accommodation and hotels to suit everyone’s taste and budget. Both Manchester and Sheffield are within easy reach of the Peak District if you want to combine the outdoors with some city fun.
- How to get there / transport: The cities neighbouring the Peak District all have regular intercity rail services from destinations across the country. From these cities, it’s easy to make onward journeys into the Peak District by train.
- Things to see / do: Alton Towers, National Brewery Centre, Chatsworth House and Gardens.
- Nightlife: Head to Manchester or Sheffield for a big night out, otherwise you’ll find plenty of cosy, traditional pubs nestled in the countryside.
- Shopping: Again head to Manchester and Sheffield for the main shopping hubs. Head to the market towns of Buxton and Bakewell for some great independent shops.
